“Jumanji” Steps out of the Jungle with New Funko Pops!

Jumanji is one of those iconic film classics that came out of the 90s. Robin Williams played that part to perfection just like all of his other film classics like Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Good Will Hunting. Funko has announced today that they will be making two Jumanji Funko Pops of Alan Parrish! One common release, and the other an exclusive releases to Barnes and Nobel. The two Funkos Pops are based off his return from adventures inside the Jumanji game board. The main difference between the two is the Barnes and Nobel exclusive is just carrying a homemade knife. This isn’t the greatest exclusive inside the Funko circuit but it is still an exclusive none the less.

It is nice to start seeing more iconic movies and television shows getting the Funko treatment. With the recent releases of Jaws, Big, Forrest Gump, and Castaway we are finally getting a lot of collectibles of films we haven’t really seen before. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a second wave of these with some convention exclusive. For me, some Funkos I would love to see come out of this franchise would be Shaved Alan Parrish, Big Game Hunter, the Sheriff, and Peter Sheppard/Monkey fusion. Obviously with some common releases like Sarah Wittle, and both kids would be great for this line. I hope we can see more additions to this series later on.

Funko Weekly Roundup (August 11 – 18, 2019)

Funko is easily one of the biggest toy companies out there. Their constant distribution of Funko Pops makes their slogan of “Everyone is a fan of something” so true. Sports fans and collectors can now add more Funko Pops to their collections! 23 new NFL Pops were announced with this new wave which is a massive wave for any Funko Pop series. Kingdom Hearts give me your strength! Funko finally reveals new Kingdom Hearts Pops with some beloved characters getting their first Pop appearances! I’m pretty excited about these. First up we have a common release of Sora and he has the Ultimate Weapon! This is a first for the character showing off the hard to get the special weapon from Kingdom Hearts 3. Then we have a new updated version of Kairi as seen in Kingdom Hearts 3 and she is holding a Star Fruit. Then we have the first Funko Pops of Aqua and Lea! These are two of my favorite characters and will defiantly be adding them to my collection. Aqua is showing off he newest look as seen in Kingdom Hearts 2.9 and 3. Then we have Lea, who was once Axel, sporting the iconic Organization XIII robe.

Then we have three exclusives Funko Pop’s coming from the series! First, we have Kairi as a Keyblade wielder who will be a Specialty Series Exclusive. Next, we have Dark Aqua, from her storyline in Kingdom Hearts 3. Dark Aqua is showing off the darkness she has obtained from being stuck in the Realm of Darkness. She will be a BoxLunch Exclusive. Finally, we have Lea as a Keyblade wielder! Best seen from Dream Drop Distance and in Kingdom Hearts 3. He is holding on to his unique fire-styled keyblade, Lea will be Exclusive to Hot Topic.

New “The Purge” Funko Pops! Will Send Chills Down Your Spine

The Purge is back again but this time with Funko in their corner. Funko does it again with some pretty awesome Funko Pop’s if I do say so myself. This time it’s from The Purge! We have a total of five Pops coming! Four of them are from Purge: Election Year, the 2016 addition of the Purge films. Each of them showing off their own retrospective horror-thriller vibe.

First, we have Lady Liberty styling with an Axe and the iconic Purge symbol mask. Then we have the Big Pig Pop, this cute and cuddly freiend isn’t really looking to play, so you should run and hide. Next, we have Betsy Ross with an amazing Red, White and Blue murder feel to her, the mask she wears is painted pretty unique and will be sure to catch some eyes. Lastly, for Election Year Pop’s we have the Freakbride, she is wearing a Kiss Me mask that’s can send shivers down your spine if you don’t say I Do. For the final Funko Pop, he is from the 2014 film Purge: Anarchy and it’s The Waving God. This iconic tilted head can make you want to stay away from him, but only after you pick up all five when they release!

My personal favorite is Lady Liberty and all her kickass glory! I’m curious to see what the packaging will be. Funko really shine with these so Horror and Purge fans rejoice for more to add to their collection! All of these Purge Funko Pops are coming soon!
