“Guild Wars 2” Announces the Next Season: the Icebrood Saga

The next season of content for ArenaNet’s Guild Wars 2 will take players to the Far Shiverpeaks to combat a new, icy threat. The Icebrood Saga is GW2’s newest collection of episodic content.

Players can get an early taste of the new locations, conflicts, and thrilling story coming to the MMO on September 17 with the release of the prologue episode, Bound by Blood. The entire Icebrood Saga, including Bound by Blood, will be free for players who own Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire, with the first episode launching this fall.

Alongside the new Living World chapter, the first Guild Wars 2 expansion Heart of Thorns will be free for all players who own or purchase Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire, beginning today. Any player who previously purchased Heart of Thorns will receive an exclusive Heart of Thorns Veteran’s Pack of in-game items containing a unique Mordrem glider, “Vanguard” title, and voucher for one of a possible sixteen different gem store armor skins.

The Icebrood Saga marks the beginning of a new adventure in Guild Wars 2’s storyline.

The official description reads:

It is a time of tentative celebration for all the races of Tyria in the wake of the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik’s heroic defeat by the members of Dragon’s Watch. But whispers from the Northern Shiverpeaks tell tales of ancient forces stirring from their slumber. While the Sons of Svanir—a renegade cult of norn who have turned away from worshipping the Spirits of the Wild—devote themselves to the elder ice dragon Jormag, stories of the dragon’s strength and virtues begin to spread alongside its corrupting influence.

The Icebrood Saga will introduce a wealth of new features, including Strike Missions, which are epic 10-man boss encounters that combine the group coordination skills of raids with the large-scale conflict of a Guild Wars 2 meta event. New boss creatures will also populate the environments of Grothmar Valley and the Northern Shiverpeaks, including the ominous, newly-awakened Drakkar first seen in the original Guild Wars, while new Masteries will be available in Episode One and Episode Two that will explore the history and influence of the Spirits of the Wild, the mystic animal deities of the norn.

Lastly, NCSOFT and ArenaNet are also debuting a variety of Guild Wars 2 product partnerships, including:

• A 20^th anniversary art book in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics. Launching in the spring of 2020, the art book will feature an expansive collection of never-before-seen concept art, production material, and creator commentary from the Guild Warsfranchise
• Guild Wars 2 Funko Pop! figures featuring fan-favorite characters. Aurene, Palawa Joko, and Rytlock Brimstone will be available beginning January 2020
• New Guild Wars 2-inspired apparel from Hot Topic and Insert Coin. The clothing range features new t-shirt and hoodie designs
• New Guild Wars 2 mouse pads and phone cases from Razer
• A music streaming partnership with global entertainment and streaming service TIDAL that makes the original musical scores of Path of Fire, Heart of Thorns, and Living World seasons two, three, and four available for listening across the TIDAL platform.

“Apex Legends” Fans Bring Statues to Life with Weta Workshop

Apex Legends rose like a phoenix out of the ashes from the Fortnite era. The game was different then what we were all use to. No more building, no more jump shots, and no more dancing. “The Umbrella Academy” Funko Pops are Coming Soon from Funko

The Umbrella Academy has recently become a mass hit with its recent launch on Netflix this year. I loved this show and I can not wait to see what happens in season 2! Funko has turned them in too Funko Pops with a massive wave releases. We will be getting two chase variants as well as a Hot Topic Glow Exclusive! Bring home the whole Hargreaves family with Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus and Pogo the Chimpanzee butler. Vanya Hargreaves comes with a Chase variant that depicts her Evil side. This is a great Chase variant, so look out for this one. We also get The Umbrella Academy’s Number Five, who also gets the Chase treatment with a masked version of his character. Ben Hargreeves stole the show for me, I want to know so much more about Bens Character and his mysterious past. Hot Topic will be getting an exclusive Glow in the Dark version of his Funko Pop. Ben’s Funko mold is also pretty kickass itself and to see the Pop glow would be awesome. Lastly, from The Umbrella Academy, we get the mercenaries Cha-Cha and Hazel who are both wearing their stylish masks. Surprised we aren’t seeing Chase versions of them but Unmasked, I could easily get behind those variants for sure.

Avengers Assemble with Massive Wave of Bobble-Heads from Hot Toys

Avengers: Endgame has and will be an important part of cinematic history. The ability to create a universe inside the film industry was something that didn’t even seem plausible or even possible. The number of characters in some of the final scenes of the movie is mind-blowing. Hot Toys is dropping a huge Avengers: Endgame Cosbaby wave. This wave right here could almost compete with the Endgame Funko Pops. First, we get Tony Starks final moments, the Infinity Gauntlet lights up and he seems to have multiple faces. We also get another light-up Iron Man Cosbaby in the iconic superhero landing (very bad on the knees). They also get a Captain America who is battle damaged, carrying Mjolnir and a destroyed shield. Dude Thor makes his appearances with some dipping sauces and Mr. Green himself is here too. Hot Toys is also giving the Avenger ladies their time to shine with the whole lot of them. From Wasp, Captain Marvel, Shuri, Rescue and so many more. These all stand about 4 inches each so they are pretty small but with the detail, in them, it is worth it.

A release date for these Avengers: Endgame Cosbaby figures have not been released or given a price. Ore detail will be revealed later on. My personal favorites are Captain Marvel with Gauntlet, Tony’s last stand and Captain America Cosbaby’s. They would look great in any collection.
