Funko is bringing fun back to breakfast. Announced this morning, six new Funko FunkO’s brand cereals will be hitting select retailers this summer. 6 themes will start off the line: their own brand with their mascot Freddy, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Lord of the Rings, Mega Man, and Cuphead. Each will feature the brands signature characters on the box, with a Funko prize inside. FYE will have the horror cereals, Hot Topic the Cuphead, Mega Man will be at Gamestop, Lord of The Rings can be found at BoxLunch, and the in-house brand on the Funko Shop.
The fact that this monster kid can get horror=themed breakfast cereal that isn’t Boo Berry or things of that nature is amazing.

In July, Mega Man will be available at GameStop, Cuphead & Mugman will be available at Hot Topic, Freddy FunkO’s will be available through Funko, Nightmare On Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger and Friday the 13th’s Jason will be available at FYE, and The Lord of the Rings featuring Gollum will be available at BoxLunch. Additional cereals will continue to be added throughout the year for your snacking pleasure.
And of course, to put the fun back in breakfast, each box contains a collectible prize, making the boxes as much fun to collect as they are to eat! You’ll find a collectible figure inside every box, so you’re going to want two boxes – one to taste, and one to display on your shelf with your Pop! collection.
