Funko, Hot Topic, and BoxLunch Team Up to Launch Marvel Pop! Pez

Funko and PEZ Candy, Inc. Debut Pop! PEZ Collectibles at BoxLunch and Hot Topic

First Wave of Pop! PEZ features iconic Marvel personas including Deadpool, Thor, Hulk, Stan Lee & more!

 

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Aug. 9, 2018) – Today, pop culture retailers BoxLunch and Hot Topic announced the debut of Pop! PEZ, an all-new collectible line created by Funko in partnership with PEZ Candy Inc. The new Pop! PEZ dispensers reflect Funko’s classic art style and PEZ’s flair for fun and candy in one package. Featuring Funko’s classic Pop! heads and PEZ’s candy dispenser shape, the first delivery of Pop! PEZ showcases iconic Marvel characters and personalities in a never-before-seen form.

The Marvel Pop! PEZ series launches first at BoxLunch and Hot Topic this August before making its way to other retailers in the following months. The debut assortment includes Marvel superheroes and supervillains such as Deadpool, Magneto, Cable, Thor, Hulk, Loki, Star-Lord and Yondu, as well as a piece featuring acclaimed comic book writer Stan Lee. On August 25, BoxLunch and Hot Topic will also release exclusive Funko collectibles; a black/red Deadpool Pop! PEZ dispenser and a gold chrome Star-Lord Funko Pop! will launch at BoxLunch stores and BoxLunch.com while a blue/yellow Deadpool Pop! PEZ variant will launch at Hot Topic stores and Hottopic.com.

To celebrate the debut of the Marvel Pop! PEZ series, BoxLunch has partnered with Funko to host a fun-filled, fan-focused event at the BoxLunch Irvine Spectrum store, on August 25 from 10am to 4pm. The event includes a rare meet-and-greet and signing with Funko CEO Brian Mariotti, guest appearances by Freddy Funko and members of the Funkast, giveaways including a life-size Deadpool PEZ statue that will be given away to a lucky fan on-site, live DJ and more!
