SXSW: DC Comics to Release a Million-and-a-Half Bats For Batman’s Birthday

I am not entirely sure where you actually get a million-and-a-half bats. Nor how you persuade them to do a fly-by. Or how you decide upon that specific number of bats. But it’s happening. And it’s happening at SXSW for Batman’s 80th Anniversary. Oh and it’s happening at moonlight, over Austin’s famous Congress Bridge on March 15th.

We are three weeks away from April Fool’s Day, just saying

DC Comics will also have a Happy Birthday Batman panel at WonderCon, Batman announcements at San Diego, and on Batman Day on September 21st, there wul be Batcosplay runs and Bat-signals in cities worldwide.

Lots of other stuff as well, Films, TV shows, toys, games, comics, the lot.

But I just feel sorry for the guy in Austin, Texas who is going to have to find a million and a half bats, release them. and then deal with the fact that there are suddenly a million and a half bats in the area to deal with, covering SXSW with bat guano.

I do hope they’ve thought this all through.

Here’s the PR…
