NYCC Funko POP Reveal Train – Final Stop – Heroes, Games, Etc.

Onto the next stop of our, NYCC Funko Reveal train the world of superheroes. Four new Marvel Funko Pops figures are dropping this year at New York Comic Con. We will be getting comic classic characters like first appearance Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel and Captain Mar-Vel. Next, we will be getting a fiery cosmic colored Dark Phoenix Funko that comes with a with Funko POP Tee. Lastly, Howling Commandos Leader Nick Fury gets his Funko POP debut. DC isn’t getting left out this year as we are two new DC Heroes POP vinyl; Purple Chrome Batman, and the Huntress. 

We move on next, to the category of video games and Ad Icons. We will be getting two Pop! PEZ Icons characters Mimic the Monkey and Pez Girl. For video games, there are three releases. Wrecking Ball’s Biohazard Costume from Overwatch and a Glow in the Dark version of the Dark Voyager from Fortnite. Saving the best for last, we will be getting Butt Stallion from Borderlands. The real horse that is made out of diamonds…

Our final stop of this train is the real people that have been Funko Popped. This could be a new category for the Funko World but Pop Artists are here. We will be getting the American Artists Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. American singer, songwriter, model, and Actress Debbie Harry also joins the ranks. Edgar Allen Poe is also getting popped with a book in hand. And last but not least Babe Ruth gets another Funko POP but he is in swinging motion. 

Most of these will all be shared exclusives, so you should be able to get yours. We will see some news shortly of what will go where Chrome Batman should be a Convention only Exclusive like usual. I can also assume the video game series will go to GameStop. NYCC starts October 3 and ends 5 so I would expect these to drop on Thursday the 3rd or Friday the 4th. The dates have varied over the past year so it’s hard to pinpoint. Go for the high score collector!

NYCC Funko POP Reveal Train – Second Stop – Television

NYCC is only a couple weeks away and Funko has released all of their NYCC Funko POP Exclusives. Movie and Funko Originals have been already covered, this one is too cover all of the Television Funko Pop releases. This wave does include some amazing fan favorites that people will love to get their hands on. 

Now for TV releases and some of these caught me by surprise. First, we are getting Britta from Community, Clyde and Professor Pa from Hanna-Barbara and Clang, Cling and Witchiepoo from H.R. Pufnstuf. Rick and Morty will be getting two reveals that I can assume are from their an upcoming season, but they’ve been left a mystery.

Green Hornet will be getting a 2-pack with GH and Kato. Two leading ladies get their shine this year too with Missandei from Game of Thrones and then Daria from Daria. Tzim Sha from Doctor Who is also getting their debut too. 

These last five NYCC Funko POP reveals are my favorite from the television wave. First up we are getting a Samurai Jack 2-Pack, with Jack and Aku! This an awesome reveals and perfect for a convention. Next, we are getting the Cabbage Man from Avatar: The Last Airbender and he comes with a Cabbage Cart! This is one that will defiantly please fans from the series. While we are on the track of animation we will also be getting two My Hero Academia Funko Pops: The Hero Killer Stain and Dabi! Next, we are getting another The Office Funko POP, this one is another Dwight Schute but he has his bobble-head in his hand. Finally, the last NYCC Funko POP for the television wave is the one I was hoping would appear, Dustin’s girlfriend Suzie from Stranger Things!

Most of these will be shared exclusives. We will see some news shortly of what will go where, I can imagine Hot Topic will be a good hunting ground for My Hero and Avatar and Hanna-Barbara would be Funko-Shop. NYCC starts October 3 – 5 so I would expect these to drop on Thursday the 3rd or Friday the 4th. The dates have varied over the years so it’s hard to pinpoint the exact drop. Hunt away!

NYCC Funko POP Reveal Train – First Stop – Movies and Originals

NYCC is only a couple weeks away and Funko has released all of their NYCC Exclusives. This massive three days of reveals have blown away expectations. Funko has three massive conventions that they do reveals for Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC), San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), and lastly New York Comic Con (NYCC). There were 52 total reveals this year and this release has honestly knocked the SDCC reveals out of the water. 

To start off there are four NYCC Funko Pops that show off New York City and the convention. We get a Freddy Funko NYPD Officer and then three different masked Pigeons figures all three showing off the NYCC logo. As for other Funko products, we are getting three Five Star Figure Scott Pilgrim characters; Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, and Knives Chau and a Ron English Freddy Funko Vinyl. 

As for movies, we will be getting “Darth Vader” from Back to the Future, Madame Maxine (who will be a 6″ figure) and Filch with his cat from Harry Potter, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dune and Jay and Silent Bob as Bluntman and Chronic. The last four in the movie world are all some of my favorite reveals. Two of them are Marvel releases, we are getting Iron Man with the gauntlet from Avengers: Endgame and Stan Lee as a Cameo from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Then we are getting a clown from Killer Clowns from Outer Space and Baseball Guy The Warriors!

Most of these will all be shared exclusives. We will see some news shortly of what will go where. Ron English Freddy and The Warriors will be Toy Tokyo exclusives.
