On the Final Days of “Mr. Robot”, USA Network Gave to Me… A Little Too Much Now [OPINION]

That’s right, friends! We’re in the home stretch now. The fourth and final season of USA Network’s Mr. Robot premieres tomorrow, but we have the final two days for you today!

It feels like Christmas! …oh wait. It is Christmas – at least in Mr. Robot land.

USA Network

Before we get to our final two “gifts”, we have a quick recap of what all we’ve gotten so far from Mr. Robot’s tree of commercialism, in festive rhyme, of course.

Start with Day “Eleven” and you’ll get “Silver Bells”.

Day “Ten”  shows Zhang and Mr. Price, who sounds like he’s in Hell.

Day “Nine” gives us cast photos, posters if you like.

Day “Eight” saw Dom interrogated, try as they might.

Day “Seven” was a holiday card, from F-Society.

Day “Six” presents trinkets, Funko POP! figures we all need.

Day “Five” is a sweater to keep you toasty while you’re hacking.

Day “Four” peeks behind the scenes, perspective we’ve been lacking.

Day “Three” delivers throwbacks, in Christmas sitcom form…

(…a happy family together, something Elliot mourns)

Day “Two” has more interviews and a look at the season.

Day “One” has Angela Moss, loyal to Whiterose… but for what reason?

Yes, Day “Two” was very reminiscent of Day “Four” – we got another behind the scenes interview/ look ahead video. This “special features DVD extra” is titled “This is How it Ends”.

While Day “One” brought us a clip of a conversation between Angela and Phillip Price where she is winding him up and trying to convince him that Whiterose’s plan should be trusted.

Uh-oh, somebody is still drinking deep from the Dark Army kool-aid. Spoiler: it’s Angela.

She really sounds like that one family member who joined some crazy cult like Scientology and is now trying desperately to convince other people [and themself] that it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Not convinced it is? Maybe because the Dark Army is still totally a terrorist organization. Oh, Angela. Sweet Angela, how did you get reality so twisted around in your mind?

Oh, right. Probably because Elliot and Darlene and your terrible ex-boyfriend dragged you into this hot hacking mess of an underground world. Oops.

Can this be how the countdown event ends? I am rushing the gates for this premiere – the content was nice, but now it just feels like we’ve been inundated with so much that I can’t take it anymore.

Another behind the scenes? Great, add it to the pile. More pictures? Awesome, didn’t know what to do with the first dozen, I’m sure another will be the key to their usefulness. Oh, you have the entire cast show up at my door with a Christmas feast? Rad. I didn’t clean the apartment, but I guess they can sit on my living room floor.

I don’t mean to be a grumpy fan here, but it just seems like the hype has topped out, for me at least. I have been so excited for this, and I almost feel fatigued with all the promo content and trailers and sneak previews – how much is enough, USA Network?

I’m not saying I don’t want any, and the advent countdown is for sure a cute and very on brand idea, but it’s just a lot. I mean, we get radio silence for years between seasons – even once the season is in production, we get basically nothing official. And then? A month before the season drops, we start getting flooded with content.

You already had us on board, USA. We’re loyal, and we can only get so hype. Trust us, we’re hyped enough.

…But if you do have any more fun trailers or clips, we’ll take those in the next couple days.

Let’s Jump Into The Past With Marvel Collector Corps 1939 Box [Unboxing]

Marvel Collector Corps has been around for a while but it was exclusively picked up by Amazon. If you’ve been a subscriber since the beginning it’s been pretty easy to stay in the system but a lot of newer fans have trouble getting the box for themselves. The most recent box that came out in the theme this month was 1939, obviously based on Marvel’s 80th Anniversary.

The box itself always shows a theme this time the Marvel’s 80th Anniversary logo covers the top. Upon opening the box we are greeted by a pretty awesome and unique Hydra Funko pin. This sweet little pin showcases the classic Hydra symbol but the skeleton is Funko-based, and after I put it on I never want to take it off. Next up, there is a shirt in this box of none other than the Green Goblin himself. Most Marvel Collector Corps boxes feature some sort of clothing not always shirts it could be a hat or a beanie. The design and the lettering are perfect for this month of October. Next, we get a decal based on the old comic book style header that features Loki, Thanos, and Green Goblin.

This time in Marvel Collector Corps box I was surprised to see two Funko pops. Most of the time we are greeted with one but on special occasions, we get two. Loki and Thanos are this box special surprise and their first appearances are the idea behind these Funko Pop debuts.

Both boxes feature a silver trim around the design of the box as well as the backs showcase their first appearance comic. This concept is not new but I appreciate it every time as it gives comic fans a little throwback to the collectible that they have. Both of these Funko‘s are perfect for this style of mystery box. I always love seeing what comes every two months in the Marvel Collector Corps boxes. It looks like November’s theme will be Marvel holiday. So I would guess we be seeing a beanie or glove set with an exclusive Marvel Holiday style Funko Pop.

Be sure to jump in the action yourself and subscribe today (if available to). I always love these subscription boxes as they give collectors exclusive Funko‘s T-shirts and other unique items. Until next time a Funko and Marvel fans!

Stan Lee Marvel Legends Figure Announced At NYCC

Stan Lee is one of the greatest men inside the world of comics. His creations and imagination have created one of the biggest industries out there. Even after his death, his legacy will live on inside his fans, inside his creations, and inside the world of comics. Hasbro has announced at NYCC Stan Lee will be getting his very own Marvel Legends figure. This figure is nothing but special, featuring his own special packaging with his catchphrase Excelsior on the side and his signature on the box. The figure comes with two accessories, one being Captain America’s shield with Stan Lee’s signature across it. The next is a chessboard, which is based on his iconic cameo in the film The Avengers. This will be a very sought after figure I imagine and will be beloved by all. Funko and Hot Toys have already been doing it, but I hope we can start seeing Stan’s various cameos from the MCU come as a new figure line.

The Marvel Legends Stan Lee action figure is set to release the spring of 2020. He will be priced at $24.99 and pre-orders for him are live in available here.
