Squirrel Girl Brings Her Unbeatable Style to Kotobukiya

As she's grown in popularity, we've seen Squirrel Girl crop up in a number of comics outside of her own series. We still haven't gotten very many collectibles based on Marvel's most unbeatable hero, but that trend is starting to catch up to the printed page. She's already gotten a Funko figure, but next year she'll also get a more premium statue from Kotobukiya.

Funko Pop! Vinyls Come To Life In Animated Marvel Short

If you think Funko’s Pop! Vinyls are adorable just sitting on your display shelves, just wait until you see them spring into action in this new animated short. Funko and Marvel have teamed up to create a new cartoon that puts these usually stationary Pops in motion.

The first short, titled “Spellbound,” features a team-up between Spider-Man and Iron Man as they battle Loki and his mind-controlling staff. The ninety-second animated clip is lively and fun as it brings Funko’s specific aesthetic to life. The short’s also silent, which might be because — in case you haven’t noticed — Funko Pops don’t have mouths.

Funko’s announced plenty of new Pops recently, including new entires in their “Beauty and the Beast” line and adorable figures tied to the decidedly mature “Logan” feature film. Marvel’s Jessica Jones is also getting a Funko Pop! based on her Netflix series, and another Netflix show — “Stranger Things” — is also joining in on the fun. And as if that isn’t enough, there’s even a full line of X-Men figures on the way, too.
