Welcome to the latest edition of BC Toy Spotting! We are in and out of stores pretty much every day, and we figure (ha!) why not show all of our fellow collectors what we are coming across on pegs and shelves. As collectors, we know that staying on top of what is in stores can be almost a full time job, so we are here to help you with your toy hunts and outings. This week we found tons of new Star Wars Black Series and LEGO, new Fortnite figures, Super Mario Bros. from Jakks, WWE, and more! Let’s take a look.
Starting with Funko, the other half of the Aladdin Pops shipped to stores this week, with the Magic Carpet Ride Movie Moment and the Genie showing up. Yu Gi Oh Pops started to appear, along with Full Metal Alchemist and DragonBall Z. Don’t Starve rounds out the new Pops for the week. Wait, one more: the new Infinity War Groot showed up at Hot Topic at the tail end of the week.
Other Funko product includes the Power Rangers cereal at Gamestop, and new Sailor Moon and Aladdin Mystery Minis at Hot Topic.
New waves of Star Wars Black Series showed up at Gamestop this week, including Hoth Leia, Dengar, and 4-LOM. With what’s out now you can assemble the entire bounty hunter gang from Empire Strikes Back.
Video game collectors have new Mario and Mega Man products from Jakks to search out. These dioramas that they have been doing are so awesome. Fortnite fans can search out the new Jazzwares figure line at Gamestop and Target stores.
Speaking of video games, Gamestop has an awesome new plug and play version of an old WWE Wrestlemania Steel Cage game for $20. Relive the days of crappy wrestling games all over again. I mean that with love: this game was not good at all but my brother and I played the hell out of it.
Random finds this week include new Harry Potter figure two-packs at Gamestop, a Harry Potter mystery box that isn’t really a mystery at Walmart, Real Ghostbusters Diamond Select figures hitting comic shops, the McFarlane Walmart exclusive Upside down Will from Stranger Things is hitting stores again, and Mattel WWE Basic Series 89 at Walmart.
Also wherever you can find Hot Wheels, there is a new set of Spider-Verse collectors series vehicles. Miles Morales, Spider-Man, SP//DR, Spider-Gwen, and even Spider-Ham all have special edition cars available.
Finally this week, my local Walmart got in a restock of some of the latest Star Wars LEGO sets. These went quick in my neck of the woods, so it was nice to see them make a return in time for the holidays. The Hoth Medical Chamber is an awesome looking set.
