Rumour: Scott Pilgrim Sex Bob-Omb SDCC 2016 Exclusive Funko Pop Figures

We’ve heard that Funko are to be producing POP Vinyl figures based on the Scott Pilgrim comic books.

Well, the more detailed word is that, for San Diego Comic Con, amongst their many exclusives figures, will be Sex Bob-Omb Funko Pops from the popular Scott Pilgrim Series of books. The SDCC Exclusive will include all members of the band. Funko is also planning to release some extra characters during the show…

Harley Quinn As Batgirl? Funko’s Upcoming Impopsters Series Mixes Villains & Heroes

Just when I think there aren’t enough Batman shaped POP! Vinyls…Funko comes up with something even better! It’s time to mix up the heroes and villains in these new designs called, “Impopsters!”

You can find designs of The Penguin, The Riddler, Scarecrow, and Two-Face on the classic Batman POP! design. But what really caught my eye was the Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy designs on Batgirl!

It will be interesting to see what they cook up Marvel wise for this series…just imagine all of the varieties of Impopsters…

The Suicide Squad Takes Over The Next DC Legion Of Collectors Box

While we all wait in anticipation for how crazy Jared Leto’s Joker will be, Funko is cooking up some Suicide Squad fun in their next DC Legion of Collectors Box…

When I was at Toy Fair this past February, I caught a glimpse of the Funko POP! collection. While they had a tiny May 2016 release date, it’s unclear whether or not the POP!s will actually be releasing. However, I’m sure it will be sometime around the movie release date at the latest. The POP! Vinyl series looks fantastic, and it would be great to see an exclusive design of one of them in the subscription box.

What Makes Funko’s Rock Candy Figures So Special?

The first time I saw one of Funko’s Rock Candy figures was at Toy Fair this past winter. I found myself standing their staring at the adorable design. While most of Funko’s figures air on the cute side of art, there was something special about the Rock Candy design. Somehow they manage to be both pretty and cute. Not leaning too heavily towards a different character shape all together like the POP! Vinyl’s do, these collectibles keep their shape with a cartoon vibe. Eyes almost as big as some lovable manga characters, positioned in proud stances, you’ll notice many admirable female characters amongst the collection. In fact, the Batgirl of Burnside figure has been wildly popular.

The last DC Legion of Collectors box included Super Girl, and of course, it was an exclusive design of her figure. While the one Funko normally sells stands with her fists ready for action, this one stood with her hands on her hips.
