Going #HigherFurtherFaster With ‘Captain Marvel’ in 2019 [Video]

Disney started 2019 off with a bang, releasing a new video celebrating Captain Marvel and announcing the expected release of the themed merchandise as well as where Disney parks guests can expect to see Captain Carol Danvers.

#HigherFurtherFaster is the official hashtag for all things Captain Marvel, check out the announcement video and PR from Marvel:

Captain Marvel comes to the big screen on March 8, and fans can get in on the action now! To inspire fans and guests to go #HigherFurtherFaster in 2019 in celebration of Earth’s mightiest hero, new offerings are being offered at Disney Parks, on shopDisney and at Disney Store retail locations in advance of the film’s U.S. debut on International Women’s Day.

Guests will soon encounter Captain Marvel herself at several Disney Parks locations, starting with Disney Cruise Line next week during Marvel Day at Sea sailings, followed by Disney California Adventure, Disneyland Paris and – we’re excited to announce – Shanghai Disney Resort! Today, we’re thrilled to share the first-ever look at this heroic encounter, as seen in the video above.

Adding to the excitement, guests can soon strike their most empowering pose and snap postworthy photos in front of walls at select Disney locations with the hashtag #HigherFurtherFaster and share them across social media.

Starting today, Captain Marvel products will begin rolling out at retail, so keep an eye out for must-haves from the likes of Hasbro, Funko, LEGO, Invicta, Stance, Diff, Bioworld, Fast Forward, Her Universe, Jaya, C-Life and Mad Engine. At shopDisney, fans can shop exclusive Captain Marvel toys, apparel and more, with items arriving at Disney Store retail locations in February.

Disney and Marvel Publishing will also be offering official tie-in material to provide fans some backstory to the film, and Captain Marvel will fly into Marvel games for a special month-long in-game event kicking off in February across Marvel’s console, mobile and PC games.

Captain Marvel will hit theaters on March 8th 2019, which just happens to be International Women’s Day.
