New York Toy Fair: 80+ Pics From the Funko Booth!

Funko revealed a lot of stuff ahead of New York Toy Fair yesterday, for over 12 hours. It was pretty insane. They have much of it on display in their booth on the floor of Toy Fair this morning, and Funko Funaics were in full force to see all of the new items in person. Always one of the more fun (and classy looking) booths at the show, everything from the BTS Pops to their full line of Ghostbusters revealed yesterday were on full display.

New WWE Pops, plenty of Pop Pez dispensers, Mystery Minis galore. the new MLB mascot Pops look amazing, although this Cleveland native will never forgive them for not making a Slider. The Alien 40th anniversary Pops look incredible, the Funko Savage World Street Fighter figures are some of the best looking yet. But it is hard to top these new Ghostbusters products. That Movie Moment Pop of the boys trapping Slimer may be my favorite Pop of all-time. In person it looks incredible. And what about the Slimer eating the hot dogs! Add those to the awesome Mystery Minis, and Funko can just have all my money when these come out.

My one complaint: where are the Pint Size Heroes Funko? Please tell me you are not done with them. Ghostbusters ones would have been amazing, and there is so many more licenses you can make. Please do it!

Austin Books & Comics Closing Its Sidekick Store This Weekend

Long-standing Texan comic book store Austin Books & Comics has a second discount comic book store close by, The Sidekick Store. With rows and rows of longboxes full of $1 back issues, 50% off paperbacks, hardcovers, and manga, bagged sets of comics, heavily discounted toys, collectables, showcase comics, and the like.

However, due to escalating rents, they are closing the store for good this weekend. So they are clearing the place with everything bulk-priced into value boxes.

So comics previously at a dollar each are now ten cents each, or an entire longbox for twenty bucks. All graphic novels and trade paperbacks are a dollar each. And Funko Pops are a dollar each as well.

Funko New York Toy Fair Reveals: Hellboy, Pez, X-Men, Ad Icons, and More!

Funko has begun their biggest product reveal day of the year. The past few years the day before New York Toy Fair is when they announce a ridiculous amount of new product and lines, from Pops to Mystery Minis, Plush, and so much more. It is a lot. Have no fear however, we are here to bring you all of the reveals as they happen throughout the day!

This reveal has it all: ad icons, tons of Pop Pez, Hellboy, X-Men, Street Fighter, and more. Let’s dig in.

Street Fighter is getting a wave of Savage World figures. You can have them face-off with your Mortal Kombat ones!

More Pop Pez than you can shake a stick at! Star Wars, Hanna Barbera, Disney Villains, Wreck it Ralph, Marvel. There’s even a Jolly Green Giant and Big Boy! Guess Pop Pez isn’t going anywhere.

In what has to be a tie in to the Dark Phoenix film this summer, Funko is going all in on Jean Grey. Everything looks incredible too.

Big Red makes another Pop appearance in his look from the new film.

Surprisingly, this springs horror remake of Pet Semetery is also getting a Pop release.

The iconic Jim Henson is immortalized in two Pops.

I waited and waited, and now finally I can add Kool Aid Man to my Funko Ad Icons collection. The Jolly Green Giant also gets a few Pops.

Super Troopers gets a second small wave of Pops.

Finally, Secret Life of Pets 2 gets a small, what has to be starter wave of Pops. There will surely be more.

Funko New York Toy Fair Reveals: Ghostbusters!

This reveal has got to have Ghostbusters fans and collectors in a tizzy, as Funko went ahead and announced huge lines of product for the 35th anniversary of the film.

Man that is a lot of Ghostbusters stuff! Let’s start with the Pops. That Movie Moment with Slimer caught in the trap is an all-timer. What a great looking piece. It has been awhile since we had Ghostbusters Pops, and seeing them with these updates sculpts puts a smile on my face. I am so glad they waited. Pop Pez, super-sized Pops, plush Pop keychains. It’s all coming this spring. They even made one for the firehouse! This may be the best wave Funko announces this weekend.
