Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them marks the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling, whose beloved Harry Potter books were adapted into the top-grossing film franchise of all time. Her screenplay was inspired by the Hogwarts textbook “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” written by her character Newt Scamander. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is slated for worldwide release in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX on November 18, 2016, from Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

About Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is an all-new adventure returning us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”) stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four Harry Potter features.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them also stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, Carmen Ejogo, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove, and Colin Farrell.

The film marks the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling, whose script was inspired by the Hogwarts textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, written by her character Newt Scamander.

The film reunites a number of people from the Harry Potter features, including producers David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.

Looks Like Cyborg Will Definitely Be in 'The Flash' Movie

The DC cinematic universe at this point is its own Gordian Knot of rumors and threads of rumors that are rarely legit and usually peter out and go nowhere. On the other hand, Rick Famuyiwa just confirmed one of these rumors on his Twitter, where he posted a photo yesterday of the latest draft of The Flash script. In the photo, you can see the feet of two Funko Pop figures: the Flash, naturally, as well as those of Cyborg.

Flash Director Rick Famuyiwa Teases Cyborg Cameo

Flash Director Rick Famuyiwa Teases Cyborg Cameo

In August, a rumor began circulating that Cyborg is slated to make an appearance in DC Films’ upcoming Flash movie. Director Rick Famuyiwa, known for the critically acclaimed “Dope,” quickly slowed the hype train with a tweet in response to Variety’s initial report confirming the fellow Justice Leaguer’s role in the movie.

While the tweet doesn’t exactly deny the rumor, it did cast a cloud a cloud of doubt over it. Now, it seems Famuyiwa was indeed simply putting up a smoke screen, or a decision was made after the fact to include Cyborg, as the director has now shared this image on his personal Twitter account.

It wasn’t very long before fans started calling out Flash’s Funko pop guest at the top of the image.

Variety previously reported, via unrevealed sources, that Ray Fisher’s Cyborg would be adding a “Flash” appearance to his “Justice League” role. It wasn’t known the extent of his appearance in the film, though the decision was reportedly made to garner excitement for the character and his future solo feature. The new tweet from Famuyiwa seems quite deliberate, including the fact that the characters are on top of “current revisions.”

The Flash Director Is Hinting That Cyborg Will Appear In The Movie… With Funkos

There has been a lot of speculation about Cyborg being in The Flash, although confirmation has never officially come. It makes sense though, especially as Cyborg is a probably a pretty obscure character to those uninitated. More exposure can’t hurt.

It seems we have our most official ackowledgement of the character being in the film though… by way of Funkos. This was tweeted out by The Flash director Rick Famuyiwa, he seems to hinting that the script for the film is now done. On top of the script you can clearly see a Flash funko pop, and behind that one, there are some silver feet. You can’t be 100% sure, but it absolutely looks like this figure of Cyborg.

This all seems to make sense, and it is exciting that the film is now getting ready to jump into production. Full speed ahead.

Batman: Arkham Knight’s Red Hood Gets Statue Courtesy of Prime 1 Studio

Batman: Arkham Knight’s Red Hood Gets Statue Courtesy of Prime 1 Studio

“Batman: Arkham Knight” is now a little more than a year old — so, at this point, fans may be looking for something to remind them of Rocksteady Studios’ epic conclusion to their Batman trilogy. Enter Prime 1 Studio, which has wowed fans with their uber-realistic statues. This time the toy manufacturer has unveiled a 33-inch statue of Jason Todd, the second Robin, as he appears in the acclaimed game.

RELATED: Fans Petition For Shia LaBeouf to Play Red Hood in DC Movies

Jason Todd was famously killed by the Joker in 1988, when fans called a hotline to vote the sidekick dead. Then, in 2005, DC published “Batman: Under the Hood,” which returned Jason Todd to life — thanks to a continuity alteration caused by “Infinite Crisis” — giving him the Red Hood alias. Jason found a second life as Gotham City’s most murderous vigilante, both in the comics and with fans.

“Arkham Knight” sets itself up as a Batman vs Scarecrow story, but as the game’s story unfolds, it draws more and more heavily from “Under the Hood.” culminating in the reveal of the Red Hood as the mastermind behind it all.

The Red Hood of the video game, and the one captured here in statue form, is much more militarized and armored than his previous appearances. His “hood” is much more of a tactical helmet, and his armor is made of many interlocking pieces, looking all the more impressive as an enormous figure.

This statue would look awesome in any Batman fan’s collection, but start saving now, because Prime 1 Studio’s latest is going to set you back $849 USD.
