Lego Brickheadz Finally Come to the Masses in Marvel and DC Flavors

Lego has never been at a shortage of simple and easy sets for its fans to build. Sure the more extravagant pieces get all the attention, but sometimes you just want a budget-friendly little set for your desk to show off your construction skills. This past San Diego Comic-Con saw Lego take that idea even farther, and offer small character building sets in the vein of Funko Pops called Lego Brickheadz.

Originally only available as two-packs exclusively at SDCC, the Lego Brickheadz are finally available for the rest of the collecting public. Featuring some of your favorite characters from the Marvel and DC universes, Lego Brickheadz might finally give Funko a run for its money in the emotionless pop culture figure arena.

You Will Never Need Another Toy in Your Life as Much as This Nendoroid Tracer

For all the delight fans have gotten from Blizzard's Overwatch, there's been very little in the way of collectibles to show your appreciation outside of the game itself. Though a few Funko Pops have made the rounds, and some blind box figures are just now hitting the market, no true action figures from the amazingly designed world of Overwatch have been released. Thankfully, the good people over at Good Smile have managed to ignite hope where once there was none.

Coming this summer will be a Nendoroid based on Overwatch's "mascot" Tracer. The adorable British hero will be bringing her style and charm to the chibi world, and could just be the tip of the Overwatch Nendoroid iceberg.

The DC Bombshells Fly High Over at Funko

It was only a matter of time until the DC Bombshells made their way to the realm of Funko Pop. The characters that started as a statue series, then got their own series, and then got action figures and more collectibles based on that comic series have officially come full circle. As with any bit of pop culture though, you haven't truly transcended your medium until you get a Funko figure. Now that the DC Bombshells have found their way to the affordable vinyl figure series, they're even more unstoppable a force than they were before.

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' Toy Offers a Peek at the New Villain

In the comic-books, she’s been known by several names, including Her, Paragon, Kismet and Ayesha — a supreme being created by a team of scientists who call themselves the Enclave. In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, her name is Ayesha, a formidable new villain played by Elizabeth Debicki. We haven’t gotten a peek at her just yet, but thanks to a promo image for an upcoming line of Funko toys, we now have a slight idea of what Debicki’s MCU villain looks like.

It's Morphin' Time With Funko's New Line Of 'Power Rangers' Collectibles

While we here at ComicsAlliance are well aware the Power Rangers never stopped being cool, next year is when everyone else will realize the very same following the release of the upcoming big-screen adaptation of everyone's favorite teenagers with attitude. With nostalgia for the Rangers set to reach an all-time high, Funko is going all in on the classic Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series with several new lines dedicated to the show.

Squirrel Girl Brings Her Unbeatable Style to Kotobukiya

As she's grown in popularity, we've seen Squirrel Girl crop up in a number of comics outside of her own series. We still haven't gotten very many collectibles based on Marvel's most unbeatable hero, but that trend is starting to catch up to the printed page. She's already gotten a Funko figure, but next year she'll also get a more premium statue from Kotobukiya.

Logan's Run: Funko Has All The Wolverines You Could Want

Funko recently announced a whole mess of Pop and Dorbz figures of classic X-Men characters, however, you may have noticed that one of the most popular X-Men was unusually underrepresented in that release. That's probably because he's a loner, and nobody can understand his pain. Wolverine always has his own comic (even when he's dead, somehow), always gets his own movies, and now he's getting his own announcement about his own Funko figures.

Cable And The '90s X-Men Get The Full Funko Treatment

It's a good time to be an X-Men fan. It's seemed recently like Marvel's mutants were getting the short end of the merchandizing stick, in favor of a focus on the Marvel Studios movies star Avengers and attempts to make the Inhumans happen.

But now, with the upbeat ResurrXion on the horizon, that seems to be changing, and one step in that change is the introduction of a selection of classic X-Men character to Funko's line of Marvel collectibles.

Funko Announces New 'Batman: The Animated Series' Pop Vinyls, Mystery Mini Pets And More

The Funko Pop craze shows no signs of slowing down, and yesterday the manufacturer announced perhaps its most inevitable line of Pop Vinyls yet, featuring the core cast of Batman: The Animated Series. It also announced a new line of Dorbz based around Green Lantern and the various Lantern Corps and, in a delightful surprise, a line of Mystery Minis based around DC Super Heroes & Pets.

All The NYCC 2016 Comic Toy and Collectible Exclusives: What's There and Where to Get It [NYCC 2016]

Next month, the annual fall gathering of the greatest comic, movie, television and collectible companies --- not to mention hundreds of creators --- will return to New York's Javitz Center for the 2016 New York Comic Con. As follows tradition, there will also be a great deal of exclusive goods at the event. To help you prepare for weekend-long deluge, we've put together this handy list of toys and collectibles that will be at the show, and more importantly, where you'll be able to find them.

There's a lot of cool stuff that'll be at the show, and thankfully, it won't be quite as massive a list as there was at San Diego Comic-Con. Still, tracking all of these toys down won't be easy, but with this little collection, the burden on your shoulders might be a bit lighter.

Looks Like Cyborg Will Definitely Be in 'The Flash' Movie

The DC cinematic universe at this point is its own Gordian Knot of rumors and threads of rumors that are rarely legit and usually peter out and go nowhere. On the other hand, Rick Famuyiwa just confirmed one of these rumors on his Twitter, where he posted a photo yesterday of the latest draft of The Flash script. In the photo, you can see the feet of two Funko Pop figures: the Flash, naturally, as well as those of Cyborg.

Rainbow Batman, Kitty & Lockheed Among Funko New York Comic Con Exclusives [NYCC 2016]

A big comic convention like New York Comic Con is a fantastic time to pick up some exclusive goodies, and just like every year, Funko has outdone itself with this year's line-up. The collectibles juggernaut has unveiled a range of exclusives for this year's NYCC featuring awesome Batman, X-Men, and Suicide Squad toys and more.

Funko Pop Never Stops, Especially Not For 'Rogue One'

Like the rest of Lucasfilm's and Disney's licensing partners, Funko has unveiled a full line of collectibles based on the upcoming Star Wars: Rogue One film. As if you believed what could be the biggest movie of the year would go absent from Funko's premiere line of vinyl figures. Ah, but there is more, as Funko's also made Rogue One the debut brand for its new Wobblers line, too.

If there's one thing this world needs more of, it's definitely Star Wars toys and Funko Pops. When the two combine, it's like staring at the event horizon of pop culture fandom. You may not like what you see in that glimmering shadow of the abyss, but its reach is far and wide, and thus unavoidable. Once you're in, you. are. in. for. life. Collecting toys is fun though, innit?

Go Rogue With a New Stop Motion Short That Reveals Upcoming Rogue One Toys and Collectibles

As we're just about to slide into September, that means it's nearly time for this year's big Star Wars toy push. Now that the movies are an annual thing instead of a once-every-30-years thing, Disney, Lucasfilm and the third-party licensing partners can all get together to focus their attentions on one specific time of year to empty the bank accounts of Star Wars fans around the world. Before The Force Awakens arrived, collecting Star Wars toys was an easy enough hobby to finance, but now that there's a constant deluge from Hasbro, Lego, Disney and other companies, most of us have taken up second or third jobs to be able to keep up with the Joneses --- or in this case, the Jynses.

Next moth, on Sept. 30, Force Friday returns with a vengeance. It will be the first day any and all of the upcoming Rogue One action figures, Lego sets and other collectibles will be available around the world for purchase. If last year's first ever Force Friday was any indication, you're going to need a gameplan. Fortunately, Disney has given us a peek into what to expect from this year's "festivities."

DC's Legion Of Collectors Announces 'Legends Of Tomorrow' Funko Pops

Earlier this week we wrote about Funko's upcoming, much-awaited Batgirl of Burnside Pop vinyl figure, but it turns out that was just an opening salvo for today's announcement. Alongside the Batgirl vinyl, DC has announced the first wave of Legends of Tomorrow vinyls featuring heroes from the hit CW series.

Tarr, Stewart and Fletcher Introduce the Batgirl of Burnside to the World of Funko Pop

When the first Funko Pop arrived in 2010, I don't think there was anyone not under the employ of the company that believed just a scant six years later, Funko would rule the world. Since the line's soft launch with Batman at San Diego Comic-Con back in 2010, Funko has exploded exponentially. I like to joke about how outrageous it is that these little bobbleheaded figures will outlast the human race, but that trivializes just how hard the company has worked to branch out and explore other avenues while Pops continue to dominate the toy landscape.

Funko Pops are such a big deal now that when a new character gets announced, it's reason for excitement. Such is the case today, as the creative team behind the Batgirl of Burnside era debuted the all-new Batgirl Pop, which is based on Babs Tarr's and Cameron Stewart's redesign.

Funko Announces 'Pint Sized Heroes' Featuring DC, Marvel And Steven Universe

Funko is pretty much the ruler of the vinyl collectible game at this point, with lines such as Mystery Minis, Dorbz, and of course the ever-present and rapidly expanding line of Funko Pops that everyone has at least two of. The blind bag formula of the Mystery Minis seems to be working a treat as Funko is going even smaller with the announcement of a new line of 1.5" collectibles dubbed Pint Sized Heroes.

The new line takes what everyone loves about Pops and Dorbz and combines them, while featuring the blind bag aspect of Mystery Minis to create something totally new and even cuter.

Doctor Strange Works His Mystical Powers on Funko This October

There's a new Marvel movie on the horizon, so that means there are also new Funko collectibles looming ahead as well.

It's a foregone conclusion at this point that if a thing exists, it will have a Funko toy of some sort. I can't think of a single other solitary company that provides as many figures and bobbleheads for many disparate properties. Funko's hands are literally in everything. Now, you can count on them bringing you all the Doctor Strange goodies you can possibly handle.

Funko's New Action Figure Line Spices Up the Legion of Collectors Suicide Squad Box [Review]

The DC Legion of Collectors subscription box pushed things into overdrive this month with the Suicide Squad-themed box. Though Funko has yet to put any attention on the comic book side of the DC brand (the upcoming Women of DC box should fix that), the offerings tied to the cinematic side of things haven't been a disappointment. If anything, the Legion of Collectors has been on an upward path since inception, improving upon each release with new goods and more variation than the other two sub boxes Funko currently offers. That's doubly true here as the Suicide Squad Legion of Collectors box introduced an entirely new and exclusive action figure line.

Of course, the standard fare is also still included, so don't worry about missing out on that patch, pin, t-shirt and Pop. Before covering all the good inside though, it's worth mentioning that this month our box was absent the exclusive variant comic of the original Suicide Squad #1. A small oversight that in no way ruined the rest of the contents, especially given the lack of mistakes we've experienced across the rest of the company's sub boxes. Still, would have been nice to enjoy the earliest adventures of DC's most reluctant heroes.
