Until “Wonder Woman” arrives on man’s shores in a few months, expectant audiences will have to find their Amazing Amazon fix elsewhere. Luckily, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. have you covered for the time being. Like with many other superhero movies, it looks like Wonder Woman will receive an impressive toy line as well.

Coming out just before the film’s release, Warner Bros. Consumer Products recently teamed up with Mattel to create a line of “Wonder Woman” toys. The figures will debut on Friday in a first-to-market release at Walmart stores nationwide, as well as on Walmart.com. As part of the month-long program, which ends April 28, Walmart will offer “Wonder Woman”-inspired dolls and toys, which includes an exclusive 2-pack set, featuring Wonder Woman and love interest Steve Trevor. A further exclusive roll-out of WW toys will then proceed to follow in May, with products from Jakks Pacific, Funko and Fisher-Price.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products president Pam Lifford expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming “Wonder Woman” action figures, saying, “We’re thrilled to bring Wonder Woman front and center to retailers worldwide in support of her first solo feature film. WBCP has developed an incredible assortment of trend-right products in collaboration with our best-in-class licensees, allowing fans of all ages to express their fandom and bring Wonder Woman’s empowerment, inspiration and beauty to life.”

Based on a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns from a story by Heinberg and Zack Snyder, “Wonder Woman” follows the Amazon princess who, after discovering the body of American fighter pilot Steve Trevor washed ashore washed ashore on Themyscira, sets out to bring an early end to World War I. The film takes place long before the events of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” where the character made her theatrical debut.
Opening June 2, “Wonder Woman” stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner, Lisa Loven Kongsli and David Thewlis.
