Anything Krypto is an instant buy for me, so that one is a definite purchase. I actually really love their Popeye Pop! He lends himself perfectly to being one, and there is an amazing amount of detail on him. Just an iconic character that I’m glad they waited so long to do. They really knocked this one out of the park, and they may not have been able to do as good a job if they had done him years ago.

Both of these figures will be in specialty stores, comic shops, and select online retailers in May.

Funko ECCC 2018 Exclusives Part 4: DC, Care Bears, Stranger Things, and Doctor Who!

Funko has started to officially reveal their exclusives for Emerald City Comic Con 2018. This is one of the bigger shows on their schedule every year, since it’s basically in their backyard. Some of my favorite exclusives have come from this show in the past, and with them being shared with more and more retailers every year, it’s becoming easier and easier for non-attendees to get their hands on them. Round four is going to be popular, as DC Comics, Care Bears, Stranger Things, Doctor Who, Masters of the Universe, and Looney Tunes join the party!

First up is an 8-Bit version of Barb from Stranger Things. I have to admit, while not a giant fan of the 8-Bit Pops, all of the Stranger Things releases have been pretty awesome.

Masters of the Universe gets another Vynl set, this one containing Beast Man and Sorceress. I have been enjoying these releases as well, so I hope this one gets shared somewhere.

The Care Bears line of Pops continues with a flocked version of Good Luck Bear. Of course they chose the green bear for ECCC.

DC Comics gets three exclusives: a Rock Candy version of Bombshells Poison Ivy, a Dorbz two-pack of Kyrpto and Ace, and an Chrome Batman in Emerald (get it???) limited to 1500 pieces. I will buy anything Krypto, so that two-pack is going to have to be found. The other two are okay, the chrome Batmen are always super popular.

A Dorbz Opera Elmer Fudd limited to 1000 pieces will be there.

And finally, one of the most-requested Doctor Who characters will be at ECCC, as Amy Pond gets the Funko treatment. If this one is shared somewhere, it will sell out fast. Don’t sleep on this one.

A number of the ECCC 2018 Funko exclusives will be shared with select retailers. The list will be revealed on February 28th. When we get the info, we will share it with you.

Funko ECCC 2018 Exclusives Part 3: Disney, Game of Thrones, and Rick and Morty!

Funko has started to officially reveal their exclusives for Emerald City Comic Con 2018. This is one of the bigger shows on their schedule every year, since it’s basically in their backyard. Some of my favorite exclusives have come from this show in the past, and with them being shared with more and more retailers every year, it’s becoming easier and easier for non-attendees to get their hands on them. Round three is going to be popular, as Disney, Game of Thrones, and Rick and Morty exclusives join the party!

Starting with Rick and Morty, we get the alien versions of them as exclusives. If I was a betting man (and trust me — I am not), these will be shared exclusives with either Target or Hot Topic. With collectors luck being what it is, they might split them between stores to torture us.

This one makes me sad. I like to think that of all the Wight giants under control of the Night King, none of them is Wun Wun, but I know better. For this exclusive they used his mold to create a badass giant Wight that pretty much every Game of Thrones fan should need. I think if this one is shared, it will be at Barnes and Noble.

Rounding out this wave of Pop reveals is the Disney Pops. I can see them making different army men from Toy Story until the end of time, so I would imagine this won’t be your only shot at that one. It also makes me really happy to see more Moana Pops! I really loved that film. It feels like we already should have gotten a Sharkhead Maui, but it is here now. That is all that matters. I would guess the army man and maybe even Maui end up at Toys ‘R’ Us as shared exclusives.

Funko ECCC 2018 Exclusive Reveals Part 2: Star Wars!

Funko has started to officially reveal their exclusives for Emerald City Comic Con 2018. This is one of the bigger shows on their schedule every year, since it’s basically in their backyard. Some of my favorite exclusives have come from this show in the past, and with them being shared with more and more retailers every year, it’s becoming easier and easier for non-attendees to get their hands on them. This second wave is all Star Wars!

First up is a Loungefly backpack and pencil case that will be limited to only 400 pieces. That is a lot of stormtroopers! Love the look of Royal Guards as well, I love the artwork on this bag. This looks like it will also only be available at the con and not a shared exclusive.

Ahsoka Tano is joining the Galactic Plushies line, and if this is not a shared exclusive I will be far from the only person upset. I love these little plush figures, myself and my daughter collect them together and Ahsoka is her favorite Star Wars character. This would probably be one of the most sought-after of the plushies line, and will command a high price on the aftermarket. Please share this one Funko!

Finally we get a Padme Pop. This one has been controversial for fans, as we have grown tired of every piece of Padme merchandise being her in the Geonosis outfit. They could do any number of Padme Pops and the fact that they chose this one is a little disappointing. I will still get it, however, I want more Padme Pops and the only way to accomplish that is to buy the ones they make so they make more. Make the next one her in her outfit from Revenge of the Sith on Mustafar, please!
