The panellists went through a number of upcoming and ongoing series they are responsible for, as part of the Milkfed studios set up by Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnick.

Adventure Man from Terry Dodson and Matt Fraction – it’s about a woman who finds a series of pulp books that turn out to be, not just adventures, but a sort of “How To” guide of what was Adventure Man’s legacy. The last story of Adventure Man ends in a cliff hanger, which where her story begins.

A Casanova Graphic Novel will be released in Spring.

Bitch Planet production stopped at issue #9 for personal reasons but things are getting back up and running, with an #10 soon, plus a collected book (Vol. 2) will be printed at about the same time and, with Laurren McCubbin, the Bitch Planet Compliance textbook.

Also, it was announced that Bitch Planet Triple Feature will coming soon, e a 3 story anthology book from artists and writers DeConnick and DeLandro have chosen.

Issue #1 will feature Cheryl Lynn Eaton and Maria Frohlich with a story called Windows,  Andre Aydin and Joanna Estep with a story called WITHout withIN and a third story by Connely Lyons. Other talents on the book include Che Grayson, Sharon Dela Cruz, Danielle Henderson, Ted Brand, Ra Stein, Jordon Claric and Naomi Franquiz

Coming soon from Fraction, Chip Zdarsky and Anne Wu is Mr. Recidivism. A superhero book that opens in 1987, when the world of crime is pop oriented. Mr. Recidivism is thrown into prison for accidently destroying an art museum during a heist. When he gets out, the simple world of giant prop crime and henchmen with words across their shirt, have disappeared and replaced with something much darker. Now the city has a new hero, The Knight, who is unlike any other hero he’s faced. (photo included is a billboard of The Knight story art)

Meanwhile, in the middle of the panel, Fraction called up a little boy to the front. He had witnessed the boy, dressed in a tie, walk over to a garbage can and throw something away, then quietly sit back down. Matt called him up front and gave him a lithograph and stencil set as a thank you for being so polite.

Parisian White by DeConnick and Bill Sienkiewicz is in production. It’s a murder mystery.  The story will deal with the nature of color. How something that looks red but is everything but red, since it absorbs all the other colors except red and reflects red back.

Pretty Deadly is starting production on the third arc. with three 3 levels of storytelling. It is a story told to a butterfly by a dead bunny. Then there are the immortals, which is death and the reapers and then the mortals, which is Sarah’s family. The story will go through 5 arcs.

The first volume is death, done as a western. The second deals with war and will be set in France during WW1. The third volume, now in production, is about either art or obsession and is done in the style of a crime noir in the era of the silent films of Hollywood.

Sex Criminals Volume 4 is coming, sarcastically referenced as the “We swear we’re on time” edition. There will be Annuals between the arcs now drawn by Rachael (Doctor Who) Stott. The first be about Sexual Gary.

Lastly, Jonathan Colton will release a new album that Matt Fraction will be covering in story form. He described it as a companion piece to the album. He also described it as 2001 meets Office Space….

Lots of Q&A people were rewarded with items from the Milkfed trash pile – and went over well!

And if you are wanting the leggings that DeLandro designed at the show… they are already available for 20% off!
