NYCC wouldn’t be NYCC if it wasn’t full of exclusives from various exhibitors drawing attention to their brands. Bandai, Funko, Marvel, Mezco Toyz, and Valiant had some stand out swag that stood apart from the rest.
Bloodshot #14 Jason David Frank Photo Variant (Valiant)
Right before NYCC it was announced that Jason David Frank would be taking on the live action roll of Bloodshot. The Valiant booth had free signings with Frank all weekend and were giving out this comic at the signing.
Captain America Cardboard Shield Promo (Marvel)
The Marvel booth at NYCC is giving for the duration of the show. The shield was at first given freely and then given only to children or parents with children. These pieces were great for signatures.
Faith Funko Pop (Valiant)
The lovely Faith is the first Valiant character to be released as a Funko Pop Vinyl. She was available in limited quantities at the Valiant booth each day of NYCC and sold out quickly.
Iron Fist Netflix Comic/Marvel Premiere #17 (Marvel)
The Marvel booth reprinted Iron Fist’s first appearance in comics with a brand new cover done in the style of the upcoming Netflix series.
Killing Joke Joker Funko Pop (Funko)
There have been quite a few Joker Pop Vinyl Figures made by Funko, but this one is the most unique. The back of the packaging has some great graphic design made with the artwork of Brian Bolland.
Lego Batgirl Mini-Doll (Lego Systems Inc.)
Lego launched their new line of DC Super Hero Girls building sets at NYCC. Sets were not available for purchase but a very limited number of Batgirl mini-dolls were given away each day in Hall 1-E.
Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir 5” 2 Pack (Bandai)
Ladybug and Cat Noir are encased quite well in the unique circular packaging.
Mighty Morphin Megazord (Bandai)
The Megazord was limited to 850 pieces and sold out quickly. Power Ranger fans loved this big funky robot.
Power Rangers Legacy Collection Red Ranger (Bandai)
The toy released from the upcoming Power Rangers movie was kept top secret until a few days before NYCC. The new look figure was limited to 1,000 pieces and limited to one per fan per day.
Shadowland Daredevil (Mezco Toyz)
If you stopped by the Mezco booth on Sunday of NYCC you would see it was more of a showroom than a shop. All of their One:12 Collective figures had sold out. The Armored Batman and Captain America were first released in SDCC but Daredevil was first released at NYCC. Many of their convention exclusives are still available on their website http://www.mezcotoyz.com/exclusives.
Strawberry Shortcake & Huckleberry Pie 2 Pack (Funko)
This scented set of Pop Vinyls and their respective pets stood out as one of the more unique offerings from the Funko booth. This sweet smell from these figures is now emanating from display cases everywhere.
