Scott Pilgrim Cracks Open Some Cans of Exclusive Funko Soda

Funko Soda is still pretty new in the collectibles world and still hasn't quite hit its mark. These collectibles are very underrated and collectors need to get there hands on them. We finally were able to get our Emerald City Comic Con Scott Pilgrim Funko Soda figures after a mailing mix up. It doesn't matter what Soda vinyl it is, it's always nice to get my hands on one and take my chances. Most Funko Soda figures have a 1:6 chase variant and these two also had that chance. Both of these figures are limited to only 4,000 pieces each and to celebrate Emerald City Comic Con, both figures chase has green elements to them which are a nice touch. We didn't get chases in this set of figures but let's not hold out any longer and jump into this review.

First up is the main man himself, Scott Pilgrim. His can shows off a blue/ yellow letter coloring and a cartoon style of him in the center. The cartoon depiction of Scott Pilgrim does throw off a lot of Michael Cera vibes which is pretty interesting. The figure itself is a pretty simple design, his hair is sculpted nice and his clothes are bright in color. He is wearing an Astro Boy shirt which is a nice little nerdy detail. The love interest Ramona Flowers is up next with her pink haired design. She is a little more detailed than Scott with her goggles, outfit, and purse which is nice. They both have a little bit bigger chins which are odd but not a complete turn away from owning them. Her colors are bright and she will defiantly pop on any collectors shelf.

Most Scott Pilgrim Funko stuff is pretty popular amongst the fans. However, these Soda figures did not sell out and you can still find them online. They are priced at $12 each and are both located here. Funko Soda is still new in the world but doesn't miss out on these figures. Whether your a fan of Scott Pilgrim or other licenses out there like Masters of the Universe or Ad Icons these figures are great. It does not look like these collectibles are stopping any time soon so take the risk and snag one up and check them out for yourself.

Funko Pop Batman: Dark Nights Metal Devastator Figure is a Monster

Funko continues to build its ever growing line of Batman Pop Vinyls. Last year we saw a huge variety of figures comes out for the Dark Knight's 80th Anniversary. That trend continues into 2020 as there is just too much Batman to contain in one year alone. This time we are looking into a recent FYE Exclusive figure from the iconic DC Comics storyline Dark Nights Metal. This isn't the first time we have seen some of these other Funko figures get released as The Batman Who Laughs, The Dawnbreaker, Red Death, and Batman the Merciless have already been released. This time we have our hands on The Devastator, this is the Batman who became Doomsday to kill Superman. His story is amazing and his Funko Pop is a true beast and a worthy figure for any collection. Enough talk, let's dive right into our next Funko Pop review!

Right off the bat, you can see the packaging is it's own color and different look than usual. Funko did make black styled packaging with gold trim for the 80th Anniversary of Batman which is lovely. These designs really help with these Dark Universe characters and I hope this trend continues later on. Nothing else stands out from the packaging besides the color as it follows the basic design of the rest Pop line. As for the figure itself, wow, he is truly beast out of the Funko box. He is quite heavy and I'm surprised they didn't want to make him a 6" figure as that would suit his design a lot better. The Devastator is remarkably detailed for a Funko Pop and I'm very fond of what they did to him. His head does turn but it mainly just makes his head tilt rather than a side to side motion. His body has a weathering design and a torn Batman costume surrounding the beast. As this is a Batman /Doomsday fusion, they did capture nice elements of Doomsday from the body structure, spikes, and face. This design makes me think we could get an original comic design of the iconic DC Comics monster later in which I would love! His menacing red eyes are the final piece that really brings this monster to life. Those iconic Funko Pop eyes add this extra level of depth that you usually don't see in their figures. It could the color difference that really makes them pop but it's a beautiful sight none the less.

The Batman Dark Nights Metal Devastator FYE Exclusive Funko Pop is a collector's piece that not only does right by the comic but can please fans. It brings this character to life in a new and fun way that will make any collectors collection rewarding. If you are a completionist like I am, then he is a must have for the rest of the Dark Nights Metal Funko figures. Funko Virtual Con 2.0 Begins Tomorrow With Streams and Exclusives

Funko is here to help pass some time during this interesting time of 2020. During the postponing of Emerald City Comic Funko wanted to connect with fans by launching their first ever Virtual Convention. The convention was live-streamed over multiple platforms and featured games, giveaways, and more. This time Anaheim's WonderCon was the next convention to postpone their launch so it's time for another virtual con! Funko announced that they will be doing a Virtual Con 2.0 and if you forgot it starts tomorrow. With the convention there comes Funko Exclusive collectibles and they are set to go live tomorrow.

That's right tomorrow at 7AM PST, the Funko Shop will be loaded up with all of the WonderCon exclusives. There are 17 exclusive collectibles coming from Pops, Sodas, and even some apparel. Some of the hot items this time are the designer styled Boba Fett, Captain Atom, and Masters of the Universe Soda vinyls. Prices will mainly be between $12 and $15 for these vinyl figures so be prepared. All of these collectibles will drop at the same time and it'll be up to you to get what you want before it sells out. Funko Shop can get pretty crazy at times and you will be put into a waiting line after clicking checkout. These drops are always luck based and you will have to fight with everyone else, bots, and more to get your desired Funko collectible. Wonder Woman Receives a New Minico Statue from Iron Studios

Iron Studios increase their growing Minico statue line as DC Comics icon Wonder Woman gets her time to shine. This statue comes in a 5.3 inches tall, made of plastics and will include a base display. The statue features that interesting Minico big headed and animated design. She is featuring her classic outfit and the colors are quite bright. She is placed on the ruin of a Greek styled base that gives her a dynamic feel. These pieces are nicely crated and will all be hand painted so you know you are getting good quality. 

The Minico sculpt is an interesting design that can turn many fans away. The big head look is nothing new as we see in constantly portrayed in the Funko world. However, while these statues sculpt can turn some fans away it can also attract a nice variety of dedicated Wonder Woman fans. Iron Studios might be testing the animated waters but her dynamic pose, color, and sculpt are still nicely done that any fan can appreciate. She would look good displayed alone or you can add her to the other DC Comics Minico statues like Lobo, Superman, Aquaman, and Harley Quinn.
