Emerald City Comic Con is still about a month away with it taking place between March 12-15 2020. Of course, this means new Funko exclusives are on their way and to start things off they have revealed new Pop Animation! Three Pop Vinyls from Dragonball Z has been shown, the first one being Vegeta eating noodles. This one will be a great companion piece to the Amazon Exclusive Goku eating noodles. You can pre-order him and you can find Goku located here. The next figure is another character getting a new Chrome version as Piccolo arrives. The final reveal for this wave of Emerald City Comic Con Funko Reveals is a special glow-in-the-dark Perfect Cell. This is currently my favorite reveals of this set and I can’t wait to see that glow! Funko does collecting right as they have such a wide variety of franchises under their belt. I love sports as much as the next guy and the way Funko has brought some real life player to the collectible circuit is awesome. They cover so much ground from wrestling, basketball, football, and even golf. Baseball fans can start their own collection now too as they announce a new wave of Pop Vinyl baseball players. There are 17 players getting released covering a lot of teams and that can ease many fans. These figures are slated to be released April 2020 and pre-orders for them all are already live and located here.

The iconic Canadain creators and puppeteers Marty and Sid Krofft will finally be getting their star in Hollywood next week. If you don’t know them that has created some classic shows like Banana Splits, Land of the Lost, and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. Funko is no stranger to parties or exclusive Funko Pops so when the Krofft Brothers finally get their star they are making their way to the Funko Hollywood HQ for a signing! Two figures have been announced for the event as a Gold HR PufnStuf Pop and a Gold Sleestak Pop receive a limited release. No info on how many will be released and if you’re lucky you can get them signed on site. So if you’re lucky enough to be in Hollywood Friday 13th try to get one of these amazing Funko Pops for your collections and that Sleestak is a beauty!

Please note that the normal entrance for the store will be inaccessible due to the star ceremony. The temporary entrance for the store will be located at the double doors to the right of the main entrance by the Saturday Morning Cartoons set (closest to the parking entrance and Pep Boys) while the Star Ceremony is set up.

All star ceremonies are free to attend. There is a public viewing area for all Walk of Fame star ceremonies. There is no fee to attend, no tickets, no admission fees.
Wear comfortable shoes and hydrate, bring sunscreen.
We do not allow chairs or step ladders in the audience area of the ceremony.
Star ceremony begins promptly at 11:30 a.m. and will be over by 12:15 p.m.
Crowd needs to disperse immediately following the end of the star ceremony please as we must give back the sidewalk and the street to the community.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is easily on my list of top animes out there. The compelling story of two brothers, the massive world, and the long amazing cast of characters. This is a must watch for any anime fan or if you’re not used to this genre then this is a great starting point. As for true anime fans, collectibles are quite hard to find for some of your favorite series. Funko is a company that shines in that department as they have a lot of Pop Vinyl figures for them. Fullmetal Alchemist has quite a few too and after all this time we are finally getting another. Hot Topic recently announced that they will be getting an exclusive Funko Pop Vinyl from the iconic show. To step things up a notch one of the Seven Deadly Sins is making his appearance as Wrath aka King Bradley has arrived. This figure looks super badass and makes me hope we can start getting some more Funko Fullmetal Alchemist figures. To make things even better it looks like this Hot Topic Funko exclusive will also be getting a Chase variant that removes his eyepatch and shows us Ouroboros tattoo on his left eye. This figure is supposed to drop late in the month of February and will be in-store and online.

The Funkoverse Strategy Board Game is designed for two-to-four players, at ages ten and up. The core box, which prominently features four POP!-ified character pieces from DC Comics’s Batman, also has two basic characters (not shown), two maps (“Gotham City Streets” and “The Joker’s Carnival Chaos”), bases for the characters to stay put on, and a whole slew of accessories for use in this light strategy game.

An interesting factor in this release is that this core game can be played as a standalone board game, or alternatively, can be combined with other Funkoverse board games and expansions for maximum fun. For example, the expansion pack for the DC Comics Batman game features two new POP! characters – Catwoman and Robin – and can be added to the core game for even more variance in characters, or…

… You could add Blanche or Dorothy (or any Golden Girl) to the game, and fight crime in that way. Yes, that is what I said.
Anyway, a fair few of these expansions are already out alongside the core game, and many more are projected to be on track to release on March 1st of this year. If you’re as crazy about Funko POP!s as I know a lot of you likely are, you should get your hands on these games as soon as you can, because I predict that they won’t stay on shelves for very long.

Pokemon fans can rejoice once again as new pocket monsters have been announced by Funko. There will be four new figures released in this wave and some are quite interesting choices. So far we have seen four other figures come out including the original starters and two different versions of Pikachu. Funko is now expanding their roster and three of the Pokemon are from the original monsters from the Kanto region and one from the Johto. First up is the lovable fire fox Vulpix who is just as adorable as ever. Next, we are getting Pikachu’s under evolved form, Pichu, who is just as cute as his evolved version. Mr. Mime is making his appearance in this wave too which is an interesting choice but with the success of Detective Pikachu they are staying in what is “in”. Finally, we are getting our first legendary Funko Pokemon as Mewtwo has appeared in the wild. This figure is badass and will be a welcomed addition to any fans collection. The Australia Fires have been a horror story this year as the embers still burn since July 2019. With over 3,000 human homes destroyed and over 17.9 million acres in total burned across Australia’s states. Everyone has been putting in an effort to help the people and animals who have lost their homes and the firefighters risking their lives to end this blaze. This time Funko has released a very beautiful Funko Pop vinyl figure that will help the Australia fires. This Pop figure features an adorable scene of a firefighter with a Koala showing a glimmering hope in this dark time. One of the part parts of this figure is that ALL proceeds are going to RSPCA National Bushfire Appeal. This will help so many people who are fighting and surviving down under in this harsh time. Evangelion is getting a lot of collectibles recently. From a new buildable figure, Funko Pops, and now with Threeero. This time it looks like we are getting a ROBO-DOU from the anime film: Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition. This figure is highly detailed and a must have for any fan. The figure will feature glow in the dark parts, interchangeable heads, accessories, and 48 points of articulation. From a rifle, knife, and swappable armor pieces this is a figure that Threezero put a lot of time into designing. Evangelion fans should put this figure at the top of their wish list today.
The Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition Test Type-01 Figure from Threezero does not have a price yet. Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition ROBO-DOU Evangelion Test Type-01
As our second release of the ROBO-DOU line, ROBO-DOU Evangelion Test Type-01 from the anime film “Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition” will be available for pre-order at https://www.threezerohk.com on Feb 7th, 9am HKT! The Evangelion Test Type-01 collectible is a non-scale articulated figure approximately 25cm (9.8”) tall with a remarkable die-cast main frame that provides 48 points of articulation. The figure is constructed of ABS, PVC, POM, and zinc alloy. Threezero’s renown paint application techniques is utilized to highlight all the details with a Glow-in-the-Dark paint used for the green areas and eyes to create luminous effects when displayed in the dark.
The ROBO-DOU Evangelion Test Type-01 collectible figure includes many interactive features to increase playability. Among these include two (2) interchangeable heads (a standard head with articulated jaw, and an awakened mode head which has generated Eva’s biotic eyes and teeth), and two (2) interchangeable left shoulder parts (a standard shoulder and an open shoulder which holds the stored Progressive Knife). The Entry Plug hatch can be opened to reveal the Entry Plug inside, and includes two (2) Entry Plug accessories; both a short Entry Plug for inserted mode, and a long Entry Plug for extracted mode. The figure also comes with an Umbilical Cable which can be attached to a socket in the back of the Eva figure.
Equipment includes a Progressive Knife and a Pallet Rifle. The figure also includes a variety of interchangeable hands in different poses and a ROBO-DOU action stand.

It is always a surprise when Funko makes new release announcements as you never know what it could be next. This time they are getting a little old school as they have unveiled the TV show I Dream of Jeannie is getting their first figure. This figure is based on Barbara Eden’s character of Jeannie which fans have been waiting for. I say this quite often but Funko is a company that gives a lot of uncommon shows and movies collectible and that is what makes them strive. Bringing shows back to life as I Dream of Jeannie is just one example of the many ideas Funko has planned for us in 2020. We could see more figures get released from this show in the future. I’m not sure what dictates what gets sequel wave of collectibles but I imagine it deals with sales and customer reactions. Pre-orders for this figure are already up and you can find her located here.
