“Evangelion” Is Getting a Theatrical Edition Figure from Threezero

Evangelion is getting a lot of collectibles recently. From a new buildable figure, Funko Pops, and now with Threeero. This time it looks like we are getting a ROBO-DOU from the anime film: Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition. This figure is highly detailed and a must have for any fan. The figure will feature glow in the dark parts, interchangeable heads, accessories, and 48 points of articulation. From a rifle, knife, and swappable armor pieces this is a figure that Threezero put a lot of time into designing. Evangelion fans should put this figure at the top of their wish list today.

The Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition Test Type-01 Figure from Threezero does not have a price yet. It is set to ship out between July and September 2020 and pre-orders go live February 7th, 2020 at 9 am HKT. Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition ROBO-DOU Evangelion Test Type-01

As our second release of the ROBO-DOU line, ROBO-DOU Evangelion Test Type-01 from the anime film “Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition” will be available for pre-order at https://www.threezerohk.com on Feb 7th, 9am HKT! The Evangelion Test Type-01 collectible is a non-scale articulated figure approximately 25cm (9.8”) tall with a remarkable die-cast main frame that provides 48 points of articulation. The figure is constructed of ABS, PVC, POM, and zinc alloy. Threezero’s renown paint application techniques is utilized to highlight all the details with a Glow-in-the-Dark paint used for the green areas and eyes to create luminous effects when displayed in the dark.

The ROBO-DOU Evangelion Test Type-01 collectible figure includes many interactive features to increase playability. Among these include two (2) interchangeable heads (a standard head with articulated jaw, and an awakened mode head which has generated Eva’s biotic eyes and teeth), and two (2) interchangeable left shoulder parts (a standard shoulder and an open shoulder which holds the stored Progressive Knife). The Entry Plug hatch can be opened to reveal the Entry Plug inside, and includes two (2) Entry Plug accessories; both a short Entry Plug for inserted mode, and a long Entry Plug for extracted mode. The figure also comes with an Umbilical Cable which can be attached to a socket in the back of the Eva figure.

Equipment includes a Progressive Knife and a Pallet Rifle. The figure also includes a variety of interchangeable hands in different poses and a ROBO-DOU action stand.

Funko Grants Wishes With “I Dream of Jeannie” Funko Pop Vinyl

It is always a surprise when Funko makes new release announcements as you never know what it could be next. This time they are getting a little old school as they have unveiled the TV show I Dream of Jeannie is getting their first figure. This figure is based on Barbara Eden’s character of Jeannie which fans have been waiting for. I say this quite often but Funko is a company that gives a lot of uncommon shows and movies collectible and that is what makes them strive. Bringing shows back to life as I Dream of Jeannie is just one example of the many ideas Funko has planned for us in 2020. We could see more figures get released from this show in the future. I’m not sure what dictates what gets sequel wave of collectibles but I imagine it deals with sales and customer reactions. Pre-orders for this figure are already up and you can find her located here. New York Toy Fair and Emerald City Comic Con are not to far away so plan on more big Funko announcements in the future. Stay tuned here at Bleeding Cool for more Funko reveals and reviews.

Funko Announces Their First 10 Inch Pop Vinyl Chase with Trolls

When Funko reintroduced Chase Pop Vinyls fans went wild. Over the years we have seen a lot of Chase Variants some good, some great, and some terrible. We have even got other Funko figures to get Chases outside the normal Pop line like Pop Rides with the Luke and Leia figures a couple of years ago. Funko Avengers: Assemble Iron Man Pop Vinyl Has Finally Landed

Last year Funko announced that they will be recreating one of the single greatest moments in cinematic history. That, of course, being the infamous Avengers Assemble moment from the 2012 Avengers film. Funko will be releasing a new Marvel figure from the film every other month and one all are released they will form a circle recreating that moment. This is an amazing idea and will turn out to be a kick ass collectible in the end. Iron Man was the first figure to get announced and he has finally landed so let’s take a look at him.

These figures are not that massive and the same as the usual size Funko Pop figure. The packaging, however, is a 6” Pop Box so that could not help inbox collectors so much for them. Nothing super special on the box beside the Amazon exclusive sticker on the front. The background insert of this figure is a wrecked city like we see in the Battle of New York. On the back of the box, we do not get to see any teasers fro the upcoming characters besides their silhouettes. 

Iron Man himself is a very dynamic figure. These new molds of Funko really show they have come a long way. Iron Man is landing as his boot jets make flames and smoke on the ground. I do like the look of his pose and the paint that they used. You even get a nice touch of some battle damage effect throughout the figure. Iron Man is very detailed and will look great with the other Avengers next to him.

With the release of Iron Man, Amazon did give us a look at the next figure coming out. The Incredible Hulk is coming up next and he is ready to save New York! Pre-Order yours today here and don’t forget to get your Iron Man while you’re at it here.

Fantastic Four Funko Marvel Collector Corp Unboxing

I have been a subscriber to the Marvel Funko Collector Corp subscription box since the beginning. It was sad to see it leave but since then Amazon has picked up the collector mystery box. This is the first box Amazon has sent out in the new year and January’s theme was Fantastic Four. If you don’t know much about the boxes then here is a quick refresher. Each Marvel Funko box comes out every other month, they are priced at $29.99, and you can find them located here. Each box is themed and packed with a Funko Pop that can vary between 2-packs, two separate Pops, a movie moment, and more. We also usually see a clothing item, which is usually a Pop tee but we have seen hats, gloves, and socks in the past. So let’s not wait any longer and dive right into this unboxing.

I love how they package the boxes, they are always a simple design but its nice to see the logo spread out over the box. Upon opening yup the Fantastic Four box we are greeted with a coming soon card that usually has all the contents of the box on them. I am already getting pumped for this box and we have hardly seen what is in it. To start things off, it looks like we got a cool Human Torch decal and a Doctor Doom pin. I am really loving this pin and it would look great on your Funko themed apparel. Now for the clothing item as we are getting a blue Fantastic Four shirt. This shirt has an amazing design that is a great shirt for any Marvel. The whole team is on this shirt and we get that classic FF titling at the top of it.

Finally, we hit the main course! To my surprise, we are greeted with not one but two new Fantastic Four Funko Pops! It looks like Mr. Fantastic and the Human Torch are both getting new figures. This will be the second Mr. Fantastic Pop vinyl we have got so far, where his arms and body are stretching out. As for the Human Torch, this will be his fourth Pop vinyl to get released. I wish it was another Dr. Doom or another character but this one does glow in the dark so that is pretty neat. The glow on his is very bright too so that is a cool touch and will fit nicely in the Fantastic Four collection.

That was the unboxing for the Fantastic Four Amazon Exclusive Marvel Collector Corp box. It was a nice box all together and it was packed with Marvel superhero goodies. For $30 you get a nice comfortable shirt and two Funko Pop figures. In March it looks like we will be getting an Infinity Saga Funko Pop based on the movies. I am personally looking forward to seeing what is included in that box and we will open it together here at Bleeding Cool.

Funko is Bringing the 80’s Back to Life with Contra Pops!

Funko is ready for some long nights and possibly some broken screens as they announce Komani’s Contra is next on their reveals. Both main characters from the classic side scrolling game will be coming soon to add to your Pop Games collection. Both Bill and Lance are modernized with 3D modeling and really pulls the characters off the screen. With digitalized camo pants and guns in hand these two guys are ready for anything thrown at them. I am pretty curious about what their boxes will look like and if they will feature any game screen on the sides or the back. When it comes to collecting you always have to think about the packaging and Funko Pops are one of those collectibles that need a good box.
