Today, in preparation for a possible move, I have put a lot of my comic book collection and other ephemera into storage. I’m not alone, especially in a space-poor world we find ourselves in more and more.
Nick Palmer, who used to work for Skybound, and who is a regular in the Los Angeles comics world, had his storage unit broken into last week. The thieves took most all of his CGC comic collection, toys, art, cameras and more. He writes,
On April 15, 2019, 2 of my storage units were broken into. I had 16 years of collecting Comics, CGC books, Action Figures NBA & NFL Cards, Pokemon Card, Funko Pop, SDCC NYCC ECCC & 10 years of Convention Exclusive, Prints And Orginal Art. I also had just moved out of my Apartment so I had all of my personal belonging in there too. Photographs of family and friends 3 laptops, Several Cameras, Gaming systems.
Below is a short video of the assholes and the car also they were able to just walk right in and several other people had their units broken into too.
The laptop had most of my CGC books and sketches scanned in them. i’m having a hard time finding pics .
