October Funko Pop Releases – Where’s Waldo, Smokey the Bear, etc

October has been a big month with a huge and wide variety of upcoming releases. This article specifically deals with miscellaneous releases like Pop! Games, Books, and Ad Icons. Finally, after 32 years, we are seeing the iconic man himself Where’s Waldo. Yes, Funko Pop! Books Icon is making his debut after all this time. I would appreciate it a lot more if he was limited edition so it makes him almost as hard to find him in real life as it is in his books. That would be a good contest idea Funko! I mean just imagine hidden Golden Waldo’s all over the country, certain Waldo’s Pops with tickets hidden inside to let you redeem one. Next up is Mortal Kombat, we have seen this franchise already have Pop-ified versions of characters. This time we will be getting Lui Kang, classic costumes for Subzero and Scorpion as well as two versions of Raiden. The second Raiden will be a GameStop exclusive with him shooting lighting out of each hand. Next, we are seeing another PX Exclusive Marvel Funko Pop, this one can bundle with a Marvel Comic. We will be getting a comic book version of Thanos who is snapping his fingers. Then finally, last but not least there will be two versions of everyone’s forest fire savior Smoky the Bear. Smoky stands in all of his glory with a shovel in hand and the figure is officially licensed by the Cooperative Forest Fire Prevention Program. There will be an exclusive flocked version going to Hot Topic. Each one of these Funko Pop’s will fit some collectors collection in some way shape or form.

Flocked Smokey the Bear Funko Pop will be exclusive to Hot Topic and one of the Mortal Kombat Raiden’s will be exclusive to GameStop. The 6” Thanos figure will be a PX Exclusive so you can preorder through your local comic shop or below through the links. Besides those three the other characters are set as common releases and you can look for them hitting retailers in 2020. Def Leppard Makes Their Funko Pop Debut and They Ain’t Foolin’

Def Leppard Funko pops are here to and they are hot sticky sweet and ready for your collection. it’s such a magical hysteria seeing mise iconic rock legends get their Funko pop debut. Pop rocks are not new as we have already seen Metallica, Alice Cooper, and AC/DC, and so much more have come out. So it is nice when we get a blast from the past get that Rock of Ages feels. Oh, look what you’ve done to this rock ‘n’ roll clown, Oh oh, look what you’ve done Funko! These are some collectibles that can let classic rockers feel that love and affection. We will be getting all five members of the British heavy metal Def Leppard band. Lead singer Joe Elliott, drummer Rick Allen, bassist Rick Savage, guitarist Phil Collen, and guitarist Vivian Campbell all are pop-ified. As much as I am a collector I and even more of a rocker so just gimme all that you got Funko. I hope we can see more iconic metal bands come out sooner than later. I wish we would start seeing more Chases variants as they did for the Angus Young Funko Pop with him in a different outfit. So rockers just sit back relax put in your favorite Def Leppard vinyl and let’s get rocked!

Funko Pop Television and Movie October 2019 Releases

The end of the month is finally upon us and we are rounding out all of the Funko releases for this month for your viewing pleasure. This category is based on Pop! Television and Movies. First up is Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame. We originally saw the first Hunchback of Notre Dame Funko release for San Diego Comic Con. There will be three Funko’s getting released in this wave. First up is Esmeralda the Gypsy, second is Jester Quasimodo and Quasimodo with a figurine. I’m sure will be seeing more in this series later down the line, since the film has such a wide variety of characters. Next to be getting two more Pops from the Dune movie. We saw one Dune Funko come out for New York Comic Con and it’s no surprise that we are seeing more come out of that series. Dune fans should be excited to see more collectibles come out of this epic science fiction classic and add them to their collection. Staying in the movie collection John Wick will be getting a single Pop release bundled with his new dog from John Wick 3: Equilibrium. The last release inside for the Funko Pop! Movies franchise is my favorites as we will be getting and electronic Darth Vader Funko Pop! This light up the Darth Vader features both lights and sound while stationed on a Bespin styled platform. The final releases will be for Pop television, as we will be seeing the Funko debut of the British Sci-FI show, Black Mirror. There will be six figures released in the series including one Chase variant of the most recent episodes featuring Miley Cyrus as Ashley Too with her finale rebellious style. I feel like Chases are slowly diminishing inside the Funko of the world so it’s nice to see that we are still getting some unique and interesting Chase variants. Finally, we are. Getting another Vegeta Pop Vinyl from Dragon Ball Z. This will be a PX Exclusive and even comes with a Glow in the Dark Chase variant that should be 1:6. Dragon Ball Z Chases have been quite popular, like the most recent Broly Chase as its value is way over $100.

All of these Funko Pops is set to release to the public in 2020. None of these are set as exclusive’s at the moment and you can pre-order them at your local retailer like game stop or you can find preorder links below for the retrospective show.
